Fall simmer pot recipes that will make your home smell amazing!
As we've said before, a simple simmer pot is an easy way to get in the season's spirit no matter what time of the year. The key is changing up the ingredients with the times. During the summer and spring seasons, lemons and mint were all the rage. Now in the Fall, we'll switch back over to spices and herbs such as cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg.
Fall Simmer Pot For Cleansing
Not only a great alternative to candles and wall plug-ins, simmer pots can also be very cleansing to the environment they're brewed in. While it fills your home with delicious, aromatic scents, it will also help you meditate and concentrate on how you'd like to enter this autumn season.
Creating a fall simmer pot that permeates the air throughout your house only takes about 10 minutes to put together.
Ingredients
4 slices of Apple
3 Orange slices
3 Cinnamon Sticks
1 tsp of Cloves
1 tsp of Nutmeg
2 quarts of Water
Directions
Boil water in a large cooking pot.
Once you've reached a roiling boil, lower the temperature to medium-low heat.
Add your collected ingredients to the pot, and do not cover.
Enjoy the cozy scents of Fall all day long!
*You may also use a crockpot if you don't feel comfortable using the stove for long periods of time.
