Crimson Sunset
This mocktail recipe works best with our Crimson Sunset herbal tea blend. The hibiscus-based brew has a deep red color and a floral aroma. It pairs well with complex desserts and spicy meats. The symbol of love and affection, hibiscus will bring beauty to your life. Enjoy it either hot or cold.
Ingredients for Hibiscus Tea:
3 cups of Water
3/4 cup of dried Hibiscus (or Crimson Sunset)
Ingredients for Hibiscus Mocktail:
Pineapple chunks
Mint leaves for garnish
1/2 tsp of Fresh Lemon juice
1 tsp of Honey per serving glass
Hibiscus tea
Soda Water
Ice
Directions:
Firstly, create your hibiscus tea mixture by bringing 3 cups of water to a boil. Once a roiling boil is achieved, remove from heat and add your dried hibiscus flowers, or Crimson Sunset tea blend. Let this steep for 20 minutes.
Pour your tea into a pitcher while removing the hibiscus flowers with a mesh strainer. Add lemon juice.
Muddle about 4 to 5 pineapple chunks and honey at the bottom of each serving glass.
Add the desired amount of ice in each glass on top of your honey and pineapple mixture.
Pour the hibiscus tea over the ice, about halfway, and add soda water to finish filling the glasses.
Garnish with a sprig of mint leaves, and enjoy!
