Valentine's Day Tea Party Ideas

Tips, tricks, and recipes for the perfect Valentine's Day tea party!

This week we're talking about all things hearts and flowers! Planning and hosting a themed tea party can be a bit daunting. But have no fear! Catalyst Tea Company is here for you, helping you every step of the way to create the ultimate Valentine's Day tea party. From the types of tea that will set the tone, to festive decoration ideas, we've got you covered!

Table Time

Before we get to the tea, we've got some table decor ideas that give Valentine vibes immediately. Something as simple as adding a few rose petals scattered around your tabletop can easily set the tone of a spicy Valentine's Day tea party. Also, adding a short-stemmed rose to your cutlery and napkin settings gives an elegant touch.

Fancy Foods

When preparing finger foods for your Valentine's Day tea party, consider switching out the usual cucumber sandwiches for a light, cut-crust turkey and cranberry sauce finger sandwich. It will still hold the simplistic elegance of the classic finger sandwich while maintaining the overall theme of a Valentine's Day tea party.

It's a good idea to have a selection of different foods on hand for everyone to enjoy. In addition to finger sandwiches, you could also add a charcuterie board with special herb-infused cheeses. Add strawberry and raspberry jellies or jams to the board to continue the deep red tones. And, as far as sweets go, you can't go wrong with petite strawberry shortcakes, cupcakes, and lots of chocolate!

Valentine's Day Tea

Nothing says Valentine’s Day like roses, and Catalyst Tea Company has just the tea to share with that special someone. Our Rose Sensation incorporates the rich and malty flavor of Assam black tea with elegant floral notes of rose and tangy orange peel.

Rose Sensation

Our unique herbal blend not only makes for a delicious tea, but it can also be steeped in your favorite vodka for the perfect Valentine’s cocktail, or used as a garnish to add a little something extra to a nice glass of rosé. Or freeze one teaspoon of Rose Sensation per ice cube and make a tray of tea-infused ice.
